1. Introduction

Freenger ("Freenger", "we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered SEO content platform for Malaysian SMEs, operated by Ezotopz Automation, a business registered in Malaysia (registration no. 202503197106 / LA0080640-H) with its registered address at 43-2, Jalan Temenggung 21/9, Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Batu 9 Cheras, 43200 Cheras, Selangor. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Freenger (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

Name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you sign up, plus any profile details you add (job title, phone number, avatar).

Brand & business information

Company name, industry, website, target audience, brand tone, brand colours, logo, and product/service details you provide to help Freenger write content in your brand voice.

Content you create

Keyword research results, blog outlines, generated blog content, images, and metadata (titles, descriptions, categories) created or saved through the Service.

Publishing connections

If you connect a publishing destination (e.g. a WordPress site or a Directus CMS), we store the connection details you provide (such as a site URL and an application password or API token) so the Service can publish content on your behalf. We do not use these credentials for any purpose other than publishing content you request.

Team & workspace data

If you invite team members, we store their name, email, and role within your workspace.

Usage & billing data

Credit balance, credit transaction history, and general usage of the Service (e.g. which features you use) to operate and improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service — including keyword research, AI content generation, image generation, and publishing to your connected platforms.
  • To personalise generated content to your brand voice and target audience.
  • To manage your account, credits, and team workspace.
  • To send transactional emails (e.g. team invitations, approval notifications).
  • To monitor, secure, and improve the Service, and to detect and prevent abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Google User Data & Search Console

If you choose to connect Google Search Console, Freenger requests read-only access to your Search Console data (such as your site's search performance: clicks, impressions, and ranking positions) via Google's OAuth 2.0 authorisation flow. This data is used solely to display your website's search performance inside the Freenger dashboard and to help track how your published content ranks.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not transfer Google user data to any third party except as necessary to provide this specific feature to you, or as required by law.

Google API Services User Data Policy: Freenger's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect Google Search Console at any time from your Integrations settings, which revokes Freenger's access to your Search Console data. We will delete stored Google access and refresh tokens upon disconnection or account deletion.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only with service providers who help us operate Freenger, under obligations consistent with this Policy:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes your keyword, brand, and outline inputs to generate blog content.
  • Replicate — processes image prompts to generate blog header images.
  • DataForSEO — provides keyword search-volume and competition data for Malaysia.
  • Google (Search Console API) — provides your website's search performance data, only if you connect it (see Section 4).
  • Your connected publishing platforms (e.g. WordPress, Directus) — receive the content you choose to publish, using the credentials you provide.
  • Email delivery provider — used to send transactional emails such as team invitations and approval notifications.
  • Cloud hosting & storage providers — host the Service, our database, and generated images/assets.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Freenger and its users, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g. a merger or acquisition), in which case we will notify you.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our database and storage systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights (Malaysia PDPA)

If you are located in Malaysia, you have rights under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), including the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
  • Request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. Users outside Malaysia may have similar rights under their local data protection laws; we will make reasonable efforts to honour equivalent requests.

9. Cookies

Freenger uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as language and theme). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

Freenger is intended for business use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (Section 5) may process data outside Malaysia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated to registered users where appropriate.
